What we can and can’t see.
Short version: we know your account and your devices. We don’t know what you do online.
Your key stays on your device
Each device makes its own WireGuard key pair, in the app or in your browser. Only the public half is sent to us. The private key never leaves the device, so nobody at Peeryn can connect as you.
What we keep
- Your email address.
- Each device’s public key, its private tunnel address, and the name you gave it.
- Your plan, your cities, and whether your subscription is active.
- How much data each device used, as totals, and when it last connected.
- Your Blocking choices, and how many lookups were blocked, as a number.
- Payment references from Stripe, Apple or Google. We never see your card.
What we don’t keep
- The sites you visit, or the names your devices look up.
- A history of your traffic, or what it contained.
- Anything for advertising. There are no ad trackers in our apps or on this site. We count visits here without cookies, as totals.
Lookups are answered or passed on, then forgotten. The one thing kept is an overall count of how often popular domains are asked for, across all servers, with no device, account or time attached.
Check it yourself
- Open ip.peeryn.com while connected: it shows the address the internet sees.
- Run any DNS leak test: your lookups should come from our servers, not your internet provider.
- Download a device’s WireGuard file from your dashboard: the private key in it was made on your side, and it is the only copy.
