Questions.

The things people ask before signing up. If yours isn't here, write to us.

Can I use this to keep things clean for my children?

Yes, and it is the reason a lot of people stay. Block adult sites, gambling, social media or any site you name; keep searches on their safe setting; and set hours when the internet simply doesn’t work. Set it once for a person and it covers every device they use.

Do I have to install anything on their phone?

No. Put Peeryn on your home wi-fi and every device in the house is covered, phones, tablets, the TV, the console. Or set up one device on its own if you prefer.

Does the blocking cost extra?

No. It is part of the monthly price, and you can change it as often as you like. Every change takes effect within seconds, with nothing to reinstall.

Which app do I use?

Use the Peeryn app on iPhone. On Android, macOS, Windows, or Linux, download the standard WireGuard configuration from your dashboard and open it in a compatible WireGuard app.

Can I use one config on several devices?

No, and it’s worth knowing why. WireGuard identifies a device by its public key and routes a single address to it, so two machines sharing one config keep stealing the tunnel from each other and both end up dropping. Every device gets its own key and address instead, which is exactly why billing is per device rather than per account.

Who holds my private key?

You do. The keypair is generated on your device when you set it up, and only the public key is sent to us. Nobody can hand over a private key they never received.

What happens after the free trial?

Billing is one price a month for each device you have set up, charged to the card you added when you began. Your dashboard shows how many days are left, and cancelling before the trial ends costs nothing.

Can I move to a different city?

Yes. Add the city you want and drop the one you don’t, both from the dashboard. Each one is billed separately, so holding two at once costs twice the monthly price per device.

How does the referral share work?

You get a link, and you earn a percentage of everything the people who sign up through it pay, every month, for as long as they stay. It starts at 20% and rises to 50% as the devices your referrals run add up, and the higher rate applies to all of them once you get there. People arriving on your link start with a longer free trial. Payouts go out once you’re over $25. To get your link, sign in to the dashboard and press “Get my referral link”, you don’t have to be a paying customer.

Can I run it myself?

Yes, and it takes one command on any Ubuntu machine, your own hardware, your cloud account, or a box inside your office network. Peeryn manages which devices are allowed on it and nothing else; the machine, its address and its bandwidth stay yours, and there’s no monthly fee for it since you’re paying for the hardware. Ask us and we’ll send you the command.

Can I have an address that doesn’t change?

Yes. Ask for one from your dashboard and we’ll set up a machine that is yours alone, in the city you choose, so the address stays the same every time. That matters when you need to give it to somewhere that only lets in addresses it already knows. There is a fixed monthly fee for the address plus the usual per-device price, and nothing is charged until it’s ready.

Can I pay for my whole team?

Yes. Set up a company account from the dashboard, buy the number of device seats you need at the usual price each, and invite people by email. They sign in, take a seat and connect without entering a card or seeing a price. You can set how many devices each person gets, and removing someone stops their devices connecting straight away and frees the seat.

Can my company have its own?

Yes. A private one stays out of the public list and only opens to the addresses you allow, a whole domain, or named people. It can run on our machine or on one of yours, including inside your own network, since we manage it over an outbound connection rather than one you have to open up. Email hello@peeryn.com to set one up.

What about privacy?

Rather than ask you to take a slogan on faith, Peeryn is built so the sensitive part never reaches us: your private key is generated on your device and only the public half is sent. A key we never received is a key nobody can hand over.

Which cities can I choose, and are more coming?

Cities across North America, Europe and the Middle East — see the current list in the app. More locations go in as we grow, if there is a city you want, say so and it moves up the list.
