Can I use this to filter what my children see?

Yes. You can block adult sites, gambling, social media or any site by name, turn on safe search, and set bedtime hours when the internet is off. Rules you set for a person apply to every device they use.

Do I have to install anything on their phone?

Not if you set Peeryn up on your home router. Every device on your wi-fi is then covered, including phones, tablets, the TV and games consoles. You can also set up each device on its own.

Does the blocking cost extra?

No, it’s included in the monthly price. You can change it as often as you like, and changes take effect within seconds without reinstalling anything.

Using Blocking on Android?

Set Private DNS to Automatic or Off. It’s in your phone’s settings, under network or connections.

Which app do I use?

On iPhone, iPad and Mac, use the Peeryn app from the App Store. On Android, get it from Google Play. On Windows or Linux, download a WireGuard configuration file from your dashboard and open it in the WireGuard app.

Can I use one config on several devices?

No. WireGuard identifies each device by its key and gives it one address, so two devices sharing a configuration keep taking the connection from each other and both keep dropping. Each device gets its own key and address, which is why billing is per device.

Who holds my private key?

You do. The key pair is created on your device when you set it up, and only the public key is sent to us. We can’t hand over a private key we never received.

What happens after the free trial?

You pay $1.99 a month for each device you’ve set up, charged to the card you added at sign-up. Your dashboard shows how many trial days are left. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing.

Can I move to a different city?

Yes. Add the new city and remove the old one in the dashboard. Every city is included in the price per device, so adding or removing one never changes your bill.

How does the referral share work?

You get a link. Every month, you earn a share of what the people who sign up through it pay, for as long as they stay: 20% on your first 10 devices, 30% on the next 15, 40% on the next 25, and 50% on every device after 50. People who use your link get a longer free trial. We pay out once you’re owed more than $25. To get your link, sign in to the dashboard and press “Get my referral link”. You don’t have to be a paying customer.

Can I run it myself?

Yes. It takes one command on an Ubuntu, Debian or Fedora machine: your own hardware, a cloud server, or a computer inside your office network. Peeryn only manages which devices can connect. The machine, its address and its bandwidth stay yours, and there’s no monthly fee for it. Ask us and we’ll send you the command.

Can I have an address that doesn’t change?

Yes. Request one from your dashboard and we’ll set up a server for you alone, in the city you choose, so your address is always the same. You need this when a service only lets in addresses it already knows. It costs $15 a month plus the usual per-device price, and you aren’t charged until it’s ready. More about dedicated IPs.

Can I pay for my whole team?

Yes. Set up a company account in the dashboard, buy the device seats you need at $1.99 a month each, and invite people by email. They sign in and connect without entering a card or seeing a price. You decide how many devices each person gets. When you remove someone, their devices stop connecting at once and the seat is free again. More about company accounts.

Can my company have its own private city?

Yes. A private city isn’t listed publicly and only lets in the people you allow: your whole email domain or named people. It can run on our server or on yours, including inside your own network, because we manage it over an outbound connection and you don’t have to open anything up. Write to us to set one up.

What do you know about what I do online?

We don’t keep a list of the sites you visit. We keep your email address, the devices you’ve set up and what you pay for. What we can and can’t see explains it in detail.

Which cities can I choose, and are more coming?

We have cities in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and the app shows the current list. We add more over time. If you want a particular city, tell us and we’ll take it into account.

Still stuck?
